Native American Painting
HEARTSONG
by Steven Chorney

ALike arrows from a bow, songs are delivered with unerring precision to the target of his affections, destined to reach deep into the heart.
AMusic is a universal ingredient in the courtship of a young couple. Many Native American tribes followed the custom of sending love songs by means of a personally crafted flute, often made from a single branch of the Ash or Cedar tree. Those having heard its gentle lilting sounds have claimed it has 'a language all its own.' Oil painting on canvas.
